Verhoef manufactures aluminium gangways that provide a safe link between the ship and the shore.
We have standard types in our range, you can find their specifications in the scheme below. However, it is also possible to have a gangway custom-made for you, exactly according to the specifications you request.
Gangways that are taken on board of the ship need to comply with ISO7061 (shore gangways for seagoing vessels); these gangways are called type S. Type D064/S gangways are certified (type-approval) for ISO7061 by LRQA.
Type B gangways are the 'lightweight' version of type S.
Standard Verhoef gangways are standard equipped with:
- Aluminium non-slip walking surface
- Cross ridges for foot support
- Clear width 0.60 meter between the rigging.
- Removable aluminium stanchions, complete with double rope-eye for rope-railing and protection lines.
- 2 nylon wheels for the quay-side and 2 railing hooks and 2 lashing eyes for the ship-side.
- Maximum angle of usage: 30 degrees
Other options that can be required: deviating dimensions, fixed aluminium handrails, steps instead of flat walking surface, hoisting slings, safety nets, ramps etc.
Verhoef also manufactures bulwarkladders and a newly developed counterweight-system for gangways at terminals - which provides a
solution for gangways to be handled by one person only.
