Verhoef Gangway Systems

Safe and reliable under all circumstances

Verhoef Access Technology has designed and manufactured more than 850 shore-based access systems for Oil and Gas terminals to nearly 70 countries all over the world. Since the supply of the first Gangway System in 1966, we have developed a large number of standard designs, which are flexible to be adapted or tuned in accordance with the specific requirements of the client.

Basically there are three main designs:

  • the tower type, with a telescopic gangway that moves vertically along the tower by means of a lift platform. Because of its lift platform, the gangway-tower can cover ship deck levels from Small Barges up to Ultra Large Crude Carriers in combination with ship movements resulting from tidal, loading/unloading and heave motions.
  • the column type, with a telescopic gangway at a fixed height. The column type is suitable for reaching ship deck levels from well below up to a maximum of approximately 18 meter (54 feet) above jetty deck.
  • the riding ladder can be used when the variation in ship’s deck levels is limited and sufficient space on the jetty deck is available.

Moreover, Verhoef produces portable gangways, bulwarkladders, cabin stairs and mobile maintenance platforms for aircrafts, and mobile passenger bridge systems. For all products we manufactured we offer a lifetime extension programme.
