Verhoef Access Technology specializes in barge access systems. Our access ladders are designed to safely carry crewmen and port operators from ship to shore and vice versa. In the last 40 years we have delivered over 600 gangway systems with telescopic ladders to oil and LNG terminals worldwide.

We have been certified in accordance with the International recognized standard for Quality Assurance Control ISO 9001. Every gangway system with telescoping ladder meets all the safety requirements provided by national and international associations.

The shore based equipment from Verhoef Access Technology is available in two models, the gangway-column and the gangwaytower with lift platforms:

• the column type that has a telescopic ladder at a fixed height and is suitable for reaching ships deck levels with a maximum height of about 15 meters above the jetty deck.
• the gangway tower is able to cover all heights of ships deck levels by means of its moving elevator-platforms By adding elevator platform stations and tower height, all deck levels can be reached.

Both can be designed to meet your specific requirements. Optionally both models can be equipped with stores crane, fire monitor platform or control cabins.

Features of the Verhoef ship-to-shore access ladders
Safety has always been key at Verhoef Access Technology. Our telescopic ladders are designed according to a well proven concept. They allow easy and swift passage from shore to ship and vice versa. The telescoping ladders are equipped with self-levelling steps but a flat anti-slip walking surface is also available.

The control of the telescoping ladder is done with hydraulics and explosion-proof electrical systems. All motions are controlled by one operator, by means of a control panel with logical handles.

All our aluminium ship-to-shore ladders are equipped with a free-wheel system, which will make it move along automatically with the motions of the ship or tide. This special Verhoef technology assures you that the telescoping ladder will always provide you with a safe passage.

The surface is given a specific treatment that ensures the resistance of our access ladders against different climate circumstances

Our gangway systems are manufactured of high grade steel and aluminium. It also has a solid design, which ensures the long lifecycle of the Verhoef telescopic ladder. Most of our products exceed a 25 year lifecycle!
